Associated Students at San Diego Mesa College held their AS Carnival on Thursday, April 20 between the Mesa Commons and Exercise Science buildings.
“This spring carnival is to get students aware and involved in the student organizations and clubs here on campus,” said AS Senator and sociology major Joe Newell. “A lot of this is about clubs and getting students here to interact and learn about the student organizations here at Mesa. We have had an event similar to this before, but this is the first time that was as big as it was.”
Celebrating the spring, the AS had catered food for students, carnival games and information about the various clubs that students can join. Students also had the opportunity to donate food and business clothing to The Stand, a new program on campus to help students in need.
